As a student, your final thesis, often called "Tugas Akhir" in Indonesian universities, is one of the most important academic milestones you will encounter during your studies. However, it is not uncommon to see students resorting to shortcuts when faced with the pressure of completing their thesis. In this article, I want to discuss why using a proxy to complete your final thesis is a bad idea, why it harms both your academic growth and professional integrity, and why you should never take this route.

The Short-Term Gain vs. Long-Term Loss 

At first glance, hiring someone else to complete your thesis may seem like a quick and easy solution to the overwhelming stress and pressure that often accompanies this final project. After all, it might save you time, reduce your anxiety, and even allow you to focus on other aspects of your life. But while the immediate benefits might seem appealing, the long-term consequences of outsourcing your thesis are far more significant. 

1. You Miss Out on Valuable Learning Experiences 

The primary reason you are required to complete a thesis is to demonstrate that you have acquired the necessary skills to conduct independent research, analyze complex problems, and synthesize information. These are skills that will be valuable in your career and beyond. When you hire someone else to do the work for you, you miss out on these learning opportunities. When you outsource the work, you undermine the value of your degree because the thesis is no longer a product of your own intellectual effort.
